What Is Generation "Y" (CLICK ON PICTURES TO ENLARGE) Generation
"Y" is a program for young people in the Hendersonville
area. It is located in Heritage Square Mall at Church &
Barnwell Sreets in Historic Downtown Hendersonville.
Club Pulse, with weekly entertainment is a place where Generation "Y" people can meet and have fun. Other programs include education, job training, computer training and a safe environment to hang out with friends, make new friends, study or just be yourself. The Gen "Y" center is now wifi, so bring your computer and enjoy the relaxed atmosphere.
Water For Haiti . . . It's not surprising that the young people from "My Place" would be among the first to recognize the pain and suffering of homeless people in Haiti. They acted immediately to try to do something to help. On Dec. 28, 2009 some of the youth from My Place participated in the 11th annual Interfaith Service of Peace sponsored by the United Religions Initiative of Henderson County. Their presentation demonstrated the talent and passion of these young people, many of whom had been homeless before finding a new family at "My Place." View the Video.
